About the event
Southeast Arizona is one of THE premier birding areas in all of the United States. The montane sky islands surrounding the Tucson desert creates a wide diversity of habitats, in turn creating a huge diversity of birds (particularly hummingbirds)! Depending on where you go, you can end up with over 12+ species of hummers! Other highlights include the dimunitivtive Elf Owl, the spectacular Elegant Trogon, the handsomely-patterend Bridled Titmouse, the flashy Red-faced Warbler, the ancient-looking Pyrrhuloxia, and more! Check out the eBird trip report from my recent visit! https://ebird.org/tripreport/400197
Dates and length are somewhat flexible (anytime during monsoon season from mid-July to early August). Guiding costs depend on the length of the desired stay, how big the party is, and rental vehicle costs. This DOES NOT include airfare, food, or lodging. With that in mind, a very rough estimate would be as follows:
1 person: $700 per day
2 people:…
