About the event

If you don't want to trudge up north to Minnesota, then you can still see Great Gray Owls in California! Yosemite is the southern-most extent of their population, and a great place to see them if you don't want to freeze! In addition, many other owl species (including Spotted Owl) can be spotted within or nearby the park. Plus, there's still birds in the daytime such resident White-headed and Pileated Woodpeckers, Mountain Chickadees, breeding Cassin's Vireo, MacGillivray's Warbler, Hermit Warbler, and more!

Dates and length are somewhat flexible (anytime during May is ideal). Guiding costs depend on the length of the desired stay, how big the party is, and rental vehicle costs. This DOES NOT include airfare, food, or lodging. With that in mind, a very rough estimate would be as follows:

1 person: $700 per day

2 people: $350 per day/per person

3 people: $ 250

4 people: $…
