Want to escape the oncoming cold front? Then fall is the perfect time to explore the birding in Florida! Temperatures and humidity are lower this time of year, creating pleasant birding conditions! In the Everglades, we will look at overwintering waterfowl, shorebirds, and passerines as well as iconic residents like Roseate Spoonbill and White Ibis! As we drive down the Florida Keys, we will keep our eyes on the water looking for migrating Northern Gannets and to the air for Short-tailed Hawks. And of course, no trip to Florida is complete without making a point to look for the endemic Florida Scrub-Jay!
Dates and length are very flexible (anytime during fall migration!). Guiding costs depend on the length of the desired stay, how big the party is, and rental vehicle costs. This DOES NOT include airfare, food, or lodging. With that in mind, a very rough estimate would be a…
