About the event
Lake Tahoe is a popular tourist destination spot in the summer, and for good reason! But, this scenic locale offers great birding as well! If you want to find high alpine specialists like Sooty Grouse, American Goshawk, Pine Grosbeak, Black-backed Woodpecker, Gray-crowned Rosy-Finch, then there's no better place than the Sierra Nevadas around Lake Tahoe!
Dates and length are pretty flexible (anytime from late spring through summer). Guiding costs depend on the length of the desired stay, how big the party is, and rental vehicle costs. This DOES NOT include airfare, food, or lodging. With that in mind, a very rough estimate would be as follows:
1 person: $700 per day
2 people: $350 per day/per person
3 people: $ 250
4 people: $ 200
